Aloe Vera gel is extracted by cold pressing freshly cut leaves of the Aloe Plant, which grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the world. It is a medicinal plant that has been used to treat various health conditions for thousands of years. Such conditions include; burns, wounds, frostbite, rashes, psoriasis, cold sores and acne breakouts. ALOE VERA GEL USES ON THE HAIR.
Aloe vera gel is used as a prepoo, to mask hair and scalp. Overnight masking before the wash day is much more preferred. It natures that scalp, reduces dandruff, removes dead cells from the scalp and rejuvenates follicles for hair growth. When used as a prepoo hair mask, it should be used alongside a light oil. Apply the oil on the scalp and hair shafts, followed by the aloe vera gel. This will make the hair silky-smooth and shiny after the wash day.
Pure aloe vera gel is also used for retwisting locks. It works better than dreadlocks wax. This is because the gel does a further job of strengthening the locks from the roots, therefore reducing thinning. It works for both temporal and permanent locks. Using Aloe vera gel on locks reduces the formation of buildup on locks.
